CODE OF CONDUCT

Our house rules are supplemented by the MLC Code of Conduct. We attach great importance to respectful cooperation. The MLC Code of Conduct can be found on our website www.mlc-munich.de or for viewing at the ticket office in the UnderGround.

If a person feels unfairly treated by a decision or measure, he or she has the option of review within the MLC. To this end, it can send an application by e-mail to vorstand@mlc-munich.de or revisoren@mlc-munich.de describing the facts.

The board of directors or the auditors examine the application and clarify the case fairly, usually on the basis of the applicable statutes as well as taking into account the Code of Conduct and, if applicable, the regulations of the UnderGround house rules. In addition to the addresses mentioned, info@mlc-munich.de is available for general concerns, such as praise, criticism or questions about upcoming events.

CODE OF CONDUCT

The MLC welcomes, affirms and celebrates diversity in all its forms. Every member of the MLC, the Board of Directors and the volunteers are bound by this Code of Conduct in order to respect and uphold the dignity of every person who participates in MLC events.

This Code of Conduct applies to members, volunteers, board members and guests of the MLC in all event spaces, regardless of whether the event has officially started or ended. These locations include all venues where an MLC event takes place, whether in person or online.

All visitors to the UnderGround, the location of the MLC, as well as MLC events of a similar nature that take place outside the UnderGround, acknowledge that they are attending a sex-positive event that contains some sexually explicit content. All visitors to the UnderGround must be at least 18 years old.

UNIVERSAL SAFEWORD “MAYDAY”

At MLC events, “MAYDAY” is considered a universal safe word. This word applies both to signaling health emergencies and as a request to immediately stop an interaction. Every person present, whether involved or spectator, is required to react immediately and, if necessary, provide assistance or notify an MLC helper.

DRESS CODE

Regarding the dress code, visitors agree to follow the specific rules of the venue as determined by the MLC, published on the website www.mlc-munich.de or posted at the UnderGround. At MLC events, the genitals and buttocks must be covered at all times when in places shared with the general public.

HARASSMENT

The MLC is committed to providing a harassment-free experience for everyone. This policy applies equally to visitors, members, volunteers and board members.

Harassment includes, but is not limited to:

* Discrimination or unfair treatment based on age, ethnicity, gender identity or expression, sexual orientation, disability, physical appearance, personal belief, fetish interests, or religion.
* Unwanted physical contact of any kind.
* Deliberate intimidation, threats, stalking.

Participants who are asked to stop harassing behavior must comply immediately. “No means no” – this applies to verbal statements as well as to non-verbal signals (e.g. pushing a hand away or dismissive body language). If someone asks you to leave them alone, you need to respect it immediately.
People who are experiencing harassment or having a conflict with another visitor should stop the interaction and contact an MLC helper. MLC helpers are usually recognizable by MLC name tags or T-shirts with the imprint “STAFF” or “CREW”.

WEAPONS & REPLICAS

At no time may functional or realistic-looking firearms or stabbing weapons be carried or displayed.

ANTI-CONSTITUTIONAL SYMBOLS

The wearing, carrying or display of symbols, badges or uniforms of anti-constitutional organisations (in particular references to National Socialism or their replicas) is strictly prohibited. This also applies to modified symbols that pose a risk of confusion or reflect the spirit of this ideology.

PHOTOGRAPHY & VIDEO RECORDING

Photography, film and video recordings for personal use are only tolerated in the cloakroom without the participation of third parties. If a person does not want to be photographed or filmed, this wish must be respected. Photography, film, or recordings for the purpose of sale, publication, for mass media, or public distribution are expressly prohibited without the written permission of the MLC.

REPORTING

If you are the target of unacceptable behavior, notice that someone else is being subjected to such behavior, or have concerns that this Code of Conduct is not being followed, please notify an MLC team member or contact us at vorstand@mlc-munich.de as soon as possible. All reports will be treated confidentially.

ENFORCEMENT

Failure to comply with this Code of Conduct may result in the following consequences:

* Warning
* Exclusion from the event
* Temporary or indefinite house ban
* Handover to the security service of the venue
* Handover to public safety or law enforcement

The person in charge of the event (called “Verantwortlicher vom Dienst – VvD”) is primarily responsible for the safety of the visitors and the enforcement of the Code of Conduct and the house rules. Questions about safety or the application of the Code can be directed to him. Concerns or complaints about the behavior of MLC helpers can be reported to the MLC Board of Directors.

Any person who, at the discretion of the MLC Board of Directors, has seriously violated this Code may be prohibited from participating in all MLC events.

If a person feels unfairly treated by a decision or measure, this person has the option of review within the MLC. To this end, the person can send an application by e-mail to vorstand@mlc-munich.de or revisoren@mlc-munich.de describing the facts.
